NAF HOSTS NDA ACCOUNTING CADETS ON EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIP, EMPHASIZES INTEGRITY AND EXCELLENCE

As part of ongoing efforts to foster capacity building, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) recently welcomed cadets from the Department of Accounting, Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), on an educational field trip to its Headquarters in Abuja. The visit, which is a component of the cadets’ Bachelor of Science Degree programme, aimed to provide practical exposure to financial operations within a military environment. Representing the Chief of the Air Staff, the Director of Finance, Air Vice Marshal Bukar, received the cadets and commended their commitment to professional development.

In his address, AVM Bukar highlighted the strategic importance of accounting in defence management and underscored the need for precision, transparency, and accountability. He urged the cadets to embrace the core values of discipline, integrity, and excellence as these principles are vital to both the accounting profession and military leadership.

The field trip featured detailed presentations on the NAF’s financial structure, budgeting processes, and operational protocols, as well as interactive sessions with senior finance officers.

This initiative reflects the shared vision of the NDA and NAF to produce ethically grounded, technically proficient officers prepared to uphold fiscal responsibility and lead with integrity in Nigeria’s evolving security landscape.
