The 59TH anniversary celebration of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is scheduled to hold in Enugu from 4 – 7 May 2023. The theme of the celebration is “Doctrinal Imperatives for Successful NAF Operation”, and the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour . Activities lined up for the celebration include inter-command doctrine penetration competition, ceremonial parade, aerial display and induction of new platforms comprising the DA-62 aircraft, Wing Loong II and CW Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). Others are flying-out parade of recently retired senior officers of air rank, golf kitty, juma’at prayers, inter-denominational church service, medical outreach and gala night. Also, members of the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association will carry out humanitarian support activities in selected NAF host communities in appreciation of their continued support to the Air Force family.
