As part of his operational visit to units and formations within in the Northeast Theatre of Operation, the Honorable Minister of Defence (HMOD), Major General Bashir Magashi (retired), was at the Headquarters Air Task Force (HQ ATF) Operation LAFIYA DOLE today, 16 December 2019, where he was updated on the ATF’s efforts in the Counter Insurgency/Counter Terrorism (COIN/CT) Operations, especially on the successes recorded in the ongoing Operation RATTLE SNAKE.
Speaking after the briefing, the HMOD commended the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, as well as the Commander, pilots & other staff of the ATF for their immense contributions towards degrading the terrorists. He urged them to sustain the tempo of operations against the insurgents whilst assuring them that the Ministry of Defence would continue to provide necessary support to enable the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to be even more effective and efficient in the conduct of its operations.
